Black dust on white

White dust shows up on dark areas, but disappears on bright skies and white backgrounds. Dark dust does the opposite. These plates are dark marks on white, made for light images and print-style edits.

This is also how dust looks on a print or a slide, where dirt blocks light and comes out dark.
